I heard a comment this mornig that referred to getting "military retirees to pull the trigger." This comment was referring to the cautious nature of military retirees. A military person has spent a career of getting to know new areas, new jobs, new friends...a very adaptable crowd!
And they have never had very many concerns about being laid off or having the "business" close. Once they leave the military, it is a whole new ballgame!
Being a retired military officer myself, I can understand and appreciate the cautious approach. Further, in these uncertain times I can appreciate the cautiousness that all exhibit!

I never thought about the difficulties of life-long military career people transitioning into the unfamiliar, unreliable "real world". That has to a real shock; especially if their older people.
