The window of opportunity....can be large or it can be small. Take, for instance, the Atlas V rocket at Cape Canaveral with a targeted launch at 5:12 p.m. this afternoon. If that window is not available there will a couple of other windows of opportunity.... two more one-second opportunities follow at 5:22 p.m. and 5:32 p.m.
The real estate market is pretty attractive right now in Brevard County, Florida - Florida's Space Coast. There is a window of opportunity to get a good deal.
The interest rates have risen in the past but still are not what one would consider high. The prices are low. The short sale opportunity is plentiful if you have the patience!
Yes, there is a window of opportunity. Some windows are only open briefly...very briefly. I know while showing property in the past two weeks there have been several properties of interest that were snapped up just as my clients were getting ready to make an offer!

Gary,
It's easy to get complacent in this market and think the "deals" are going to be around forever....but they're not! I too have had several clients who had homes ripped out right from underneath them before they could even write up an offer. Frustrating moment for the buyers, but a hopeful (please?) sign for the market!
Thanks for sharing.....love the rocket pic!

As the country rebounds from the last few years, every city and even neighborhood is going to have different circumstances. Real estate buyers are really going to pay attention to a REALTOR® they trust! It's the only way to know the climate and timing of the market for their desired area.
Gary,I have to agree with you!Our Space Coast agents are quite busy right now and that window could close at any time....buyers need to step up to the plate...as it won't be a buyers market forever.
Lisa - You are right. The local markets will evolve and rebound at different times.
BLR - The activity is getting more intense and the window may be closed a bit by rising interest rates. Thanks.
Coleen - We are reactive, especially reactive to news media reports. The media usually reports what has happened. Thanks.
Hi Gary...
I really like this analogy ... and I have always been cognizant of the "window of opportunity!" Good post.
Hi Gary:
You call talk to buyers until you're blue in the face...
Unfortunately with some buyers, they need to witness this happening, then they will get it!
Toula - You are right. Those are the ones who will be saying "I wish I had...." Thanks.
Richard - Thanks. For all we do in life there is a window of opportunity...soemtimes we are looking for doors to open while the window is already present!
Gary,
the window is currently open with low interest rates, aggresive pricing and an $8000 tax credit. I recently wrote a blog about it here. If you are on the fence, now is the time to jump

Joe - This is the time to buy. I wish I were in the market as well. Thanks.
