I had an email contact the other day. Not a surprising event. After I exchanged a couple of emails and provided general information about the 55+ communities in Brevard County, Florida, I proceeded to ask "the questions".
Such as...
- What is your time frame?
- Have you been qualified by a lender?
- Can I have a copy of the pre-qualification letter and then the name of your lender?
All of a sudden it was as if I had offended the prospective buyer!
I am so sorry that I offended you but...
- If you can't provide a time line,
- If you can't provide a mortgage pre-approval letter
- or provide me with your lender contact (proof of fund contact for a cash buyer)
then I can't be your real estate agent because....
